Everyday, Americans generate 4.5 pounds of trash. Electronic recycling offers a way to capture the electronic materials that were destined for the waste pile and convert those materials back into the raw commodities that are required to create new products. A "Cradle to Cradle" approach is one that ensures that as materials finish their useful lifecycle, they are recaptured and broken down into their recyclable components. By commoditizing all electronic waste we are able to help protect the environment and save energy that would have been needed to mine and process the original raw materials.
The electronic recycling at the Recycling & Paper Shredding Event will be managed by Electronic Recyclers International, a company recognized for its environmentally and socially responsible practices.

The paper shredding will be managed by Doc Shredding Corp. Learn more about their environmental practices at their website.
NOTE: You do not need to remove tape, rubber bands, paper clips or staples. The following items, however, cannot be shredded: Large binder clips, 3 ring binders, plastic, carbon paper, cardboard, and metal.
